Amazing Chocolate Cake

A rich and indulgent chocolate cake. I made this cake for one of my kid’s birthdays and got so many compliments for it. What a pleasure to make something that other people enjoy! It’s so tasty that kids gobble it up. This is one of the best chocolate cake recipes I’ve made. You should make it as well!

Two disposable A4 baking pans

5 eggs
200 grams sugar (1 cup)
3/4 cup oil
1 cup chocolate drink mix powder (like Nesquik)
250 ml whipping cream
2 tsp vanilla extract
300 grams self-raising flour (2 cups + 2 Tbsp)

Cream for the filling:
250 ml whipping cream
240 ml milk (1 cup)
80 grams instant vanilla pudding powder mix (4 Tbsp)

Chocolate cream:
250 ml whipping cream
200 grams bittersweet chocolate

Cream for the flowers:
250 ml whipping cream
1 Tbsp instant vanilla pudding powder mix
1 Tbsp sugar

Colorful sprinkles

1. Preheat an oven to 180°C.

2. Cream the eggs and sugar for around three minutes, lower the speed and add the wet ingredients.

3. Add the dry ingredients and beat on low speed until well incorporated.

4. Divide the batter in half. Now we have two separate batters.

5. Pour one batter into the medium sized pan in an even layer and place in the oven. Bake for around 20 minutes or until the cake has set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let cool completely. In the meantime make the second layer.

6. Take the bases out of the pan. You can tear the pan away for easier removal. In a mixing bowl, place the whipping cream, instant vanilla pudding mix, and milk, and beat until you get a stiff cream. Spread the cream evenly over the base of the cake.
Gently place the second layer of cake on top and ensure it sits well. Freeze for half an hour.

7. Melt chocolate and cream in the microwave and stir until combined. Pour the icing over the cake and spread evenly. Let cool for 15 minutes.

  1. 8. In a mixer, beat together the cream, one tablespoon of the instant vanilla pudding mix, and one tablespoon of sugar into a stiff cream, and pipe flowers over the cake.

*9. Decorate with sprinkles or whatever you want.
