Baked cauliflower with mayo and mustard
I adore cauliflower and for me it’s the ultimate side dish that goes with almost everything.Imagine the crispiness, the soft and golden cauliflower, which you can nibble on until the rest of the meal is ready.
The recipe is easy, the oven does most of the work, and the result is crispy and delicious.
The combination of cauliflower, mayonnaise with a hint of mustard is really good.
This is definitely one of those recipes you’ll make over and over again…
Ingredients:
800 grams cauliflower
60 grams mayonnaise (2 heaped Tbsp)
1 tsp mustard
1-2 tsp sugar
4 Tbsp olive oil + 2 Tbsp oil
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 tsp flour
1 tsp salt
Preparation:
1. Break up the cauliflower into medium-sized florets. Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add 1 tsp salt and the cauliflower florets. Cook for 6 minutes and drain.
2. Preheat an oven to 180°C.
3. Mix the mayonnaise, mustard, sugar and oil until well combined. Brush the cauliflower florets with it. Mix the flour and breadcrumbs and coat the cauliflower. Place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and drizzle with 2 Tbsp of oil.
