Bulgur And Ground Beef Casserole Recipe

I’m always in favor of an easy time in the kitchen, especially recipes that are a complete meal. I’m not saying I’m lazy but it’s always a pleasure to find shortcuts, especially when they turn out so delicious! I also love the fact that there are fewer dishes to wash.
A really tasty recipe that makes life even easier.

Makes 4-5 servings

Ingredients:

300 grams ground beef
1 cup bulgur wheat
2.5 cups water
2 potatoes
1 onion, chopped
1 clove of garlic
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp rotisserie chicken spice
1/2 tsp paprika
Pinch of turmeric
1 heaped Tbsp chicken bouillon
Ground black pepper
Salt (if needed, to taste)

Preparation:

1. Finely dice the potatoes (important). Pour enough oil to cover the entire bottom of a large pan, add the potatoes and stir fry them until lightly golden, around 10 minutes.

2. Cut the onion in half and slice thinly. Add to the potatoes. Chop the garlic and add to the pan.

3. Move the potatoes to one side of the pan (this will save you a dirty dish) and clear the middle of the pan. Add the meat and stir fry for a few minutes, then mix together with the potatoes.

4. Add the bulgur, spices and water, and bring to a boil. Cover and lower the heat. Cook for 15 minutes and leave covered for an additional 20 minutes.

*5. Mix gently and serve.

Good to know…
Everything is cooked in one pot. You can make it a day before. There’s no need to presoak the bulgur.
