Chocolate chip cookies
Is there anyone out there that doesn’t like chocolate chip cookies? These are a favorite among children, and let’s be honest, I also love a good chocolate chip cookie.
I’m all for doubling the recipe because these disappear quickly!
Makes 30+ cookies
Ingredients:
100 grams butter, remove from fridge around 15 minutes before
100 grams sugar (1/2 cup)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla sugar
175 grams flour (1 + 1/4 cups)
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
1 Tbsp chocolate drink mix powder (if you want chocolaty cookies)
Instead of the chocolate chips you can chop a bar of milk chocolate.
Preparation:
1. Preheat an oven to 180°C.
2. Cream the butter and sugar together for around two minutes on high heat and add the egg. Mix until incorporated, then add the baking soda, flour, and lastly, the chocolate chips.
3. Make small balls (around 14 grams each). Arrange on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, ensuring they are not too crowded and have room to spread out a bit as they bake.
*4. Bake for 10 minutes until the bottoms of the cookies are golden. They are still soft but when they come out of the oven they firm up as they cool.
