


Chocolate Orange and Cinnamon Loaf Cake
One of the most requested cakes on the site; This is a classic cake that you quickly put in the oven, take out after 40 minutes and it smells wonderful. When the kids were little, I would make it a lot and it disappears as soon as it comes out of the oven!
A soft and juicy orange cake, with a wonderful addition of cinnamon that is made in less than an hour, It’s a winning recipe for a classic cake that is irresistible and even Roy, who just woke up, followed the delicious smell.
The two slices you see in the pictures disappeared within 10 seconds. “Mom, this cake is amazing!”
2 English Cake
Ingredients:
4 eggs L
200 g sugar (cup)
180 ml orange juice (3/4 cup)
180 ml oil (3/4 cup)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
A pinch of salt
300 g self-raising flour (2 cups + 2 tablespoons)
1 tablespoon chocolate powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon demerara brown sugar
Preparation:
1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees and grease the pan.
2. Whisk/mix eggs, sugar, oil, juice, vanilla, flour and mix until smooth and uniform.
3. Another option: prepare in a mixer:
Using the balloon hook, beat eggs and sugar at medium speed, add orange juice, oil, vanilla, beat at low speed until everything is uniform and smooth, add the flour and continue beating at low speed until the flour is absorbed into the mixture.
4. Take out about half a cup a little more of the mixture, add chocolate powder, cinnamon and brown sugar.
5. Now you can play around, put some of the light batter and add some of the dark batter, continue like this until both mixtures are finished, gently shake the pan and bake for about 40-45 minutes, it is recommended to check with a toothpick in the center of the cake in several places.
