So yummy! Double this recipe! This is one of the tastiest things I have made. Soft yeasty dough with a chocolate filling. I dare you to stop after one bite! These chocolate snacks are addictive. It’s one of those recipes that’ll definitely feature regularly in your sweet rotation.
330 grams flour (2 cups + 2 Tbsp)
1/3 packet fresh yeast / 1/2 Tbsp dry yeast
60 ml canola oil (1/4 cup)
160 ml lukewarm water (2/3 cup)
3/4 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
Chocolate spread of choice
1. Place the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt in the bowl of a mixer, add the oil and water and mix until you get a soft smooth dough. Grease a bowl and place the dough in it. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
2. Divide the dough into 6-7 pieces. Roll each piece into a small 20×13 cm rectangle. Spread chocolate along the top part and fold in two. Use your hand to press down so that it ends up the size of the pan.
3. Heat 3-4 Tbsp of oil in a pan and place the dough in the pan to fry until golden. Flip and fry the other side until golden as well.
4. East as is or cut into strips. It’s so good!
Good to know…
This doesn’t work well in the oven. You can always make this. Freezer friendly.
