Easy chocolate cheese brownies
I’m in love with this cake and can’t stop making it. I think it’s one of the best cakes I’ve made – delicious and so beautiful!
A moist chocolatey layer topped with a chocolate and cheese layer. The colors are beautiful and it’s so easy to make!
This is truly irresistible. I cut it into small squares to make it last but that doesn’t really work because I end up having one piece after another!
Ingredients:
For the chocolate layer:
4 large eggs
200 grams sugar (1 cup)
120 ml oil (1/2 cup)
3/4 cup chocolate drink mix powder
120 ml cream (1/2 cup)
140 grams flour (1 cup)
For the cheese layer:
500 grams 9% soft white cheese
200 grams sugar (1 cup)
1 egg
2 Tbsp flour
Preparation:
1. Preheat an oven to 180°C.
2. To prepare the base:
Mix the chocolate layer ingredients and remove 1/3 cup of the batter and set aside. Transfer the chocolate batter to a baking pan and bake for 15-20 minutes until a crust forms on the top.
3. For the cheese layer:
While the chocolate layer is baking, mix the cheese layer ingredients together and pour over the chocolate layer. I recommend using a tablespoon and starting from the edges and working your way toward the center.
4. Remember that chocolate batter we set aside? Use a tablespoon to drizzle it over the cheese layer. Take a knife and swirl it through the cheese, but don’t overdo it.
5. Lower the heat to 150°C and bake the cake for 45 minutes until the cake has set but is still wobbly in the middle.
6. Let cool for a few hours before slicing.
