Easy Pizza Pinwheels Recipe

A simple and addictive recipe for perfect pizza pinwheels. This recipe has accompanied me for years. It’s the kind of recipe that is made repeatedly. A great upgrade for dinner or breakfast, and even for lunch at school.
A really friendly recipe; Toppings as much as your imagination allows. Children really love it. I don’t know a single kid or an adult that would refuse to eat those hot pizza pinwheels with stretched cheese.
And most importantly, no proofing needed.

25 Pinwheels

Ingredients:

420 g flour (3 cups)
11 g dry yeast (tablespoon)
or 25 g fresh yeast (half a sachet)
80 ml olive oil (1/3 cup)
1 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon salt
240 ml warm water (a cup)

Tomato sauce:
2 small onions, chopped and fried
200 g tomato paste
1 teaspoon crushed garlic
2 tablespoons olive oil
3/4 teaspoon sugar
Black pepper
Salt

Additional ingredients:
Tomatoes, diced
Sliced ​​olives
Onion, sliced ​​into strips
Grated mozzarella
Grated yellow cheese

Preparation:

1. In the mixer bowl, put the flour, yeast, sugar and salt, add the oil and water and using the sickle hook, process the ingredients into a smooth and soft dough.

2. Divide the dough into 2 parts, roll each part into a sheet, mix the sauce ingredients and spread on the dough / ketchup, toppings (it is important that they are cut into small pieces) and finish with yellow cheese.

3. Roll into a roll and freeze for 30 minutes. If you do not have time, skip the freezing, while preheating the oven to 180 degrees. Cut into snails 4 – 5 cm thick. It is worth preparing a baking sheet with baking paper in advance and arranging the snails.

4. Brush with beaten egg and bake for about 20 – 25 minutes
