French toast with chocolate
This is so incredible, you have to try it! Double the recipe because you’re definitely going to want more. Imagine warm melted chocolate inside the French toast and how good your first bite is going to taste. Simply delightful.
Makes 2-3 servings (closer to 2 than 3)
6 slices of challah bread
1 large egg
12 squares of milk chocolate
1 Tbsp sugar
That’s it! It’s a short list.
1. In a deep plate, beat the egg and sugar together. Dip both sides of the challah slices in the egg mixture. Heat 3 Tbsp of oil in a pan and fry the slices until they are golden on both sides. Remove from the pan and let drain on a plate lined with paper towels.
2. Place 4 squares of chocolate on a slice and top with another slice, then transfer to a panini press and cook for a minute or two until the chocolate melts. Remove from the press and cut in half. Bon appetit!
