Fudgy chocolate bites
When I’m craving something sweet, these are usually the first thing that comes to mind.
They are super chocolatey and rich and you’ll have a hard time stopping after only one.
I’ve been making these for years and even though they have a rich chocolate flavor, I added chocolate chips for the texture, and the result was perfect! And the best part? You can make these in one bowl, by hand, for easy preparation and cleanup.
Makes 16 units
Ingredients:
120 grams dark chocolate
80 grams butter / 1/3 cup oil
180 grams sugar (1 cup minus 1 Tbsp)
2 eggs
140 grams flour (1 cup)
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
Preparation:
1. Preheat an oven to 180°C.
2. Melt the chocolate and the oil together, either in the microwave or in a pot on the stove, until well combined. Add the sugar and mix. Then add the eggs, one at a time, mixing rapidly after each egg.
3. Add the flour and the chocolate chips.
4. Place 1 Tbsp of the mixture in each well and bake for around 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out with moist crumbs.
Good to know…
These are low and dense and very chocolatey. You can mix everything manually with a spoon. They freeze wonderfully. Double the recipe because the chocolate lovers are going to devour these in a flash! There’s no baking powder in the recipe, and the flour used here is a plain, all-purpose flour.
