There is no child who doesn’t love Pasta Flakes and there is no mother who doesn’t. To him because it’s tasty, to her because it only takes 5 minutes until it is on the table. But Pasta Flakes alone are boring, we need color and the red of the sauce and the green and orange of the peas and the carrots will make it interesting and tasty.

Ingredients:

1 chopped medium sized onion
1/2 cup of peas
1 cup baby carrots/2 chopped carrots
100 gr. tomato puree
1 1/2 cups of water
1 tsp. Paprika
Sugar according to taste
1 spoon soup powder
Crushed black pepper
Salt

4-5 spoons oil
2 cups israeli couscous
1 1/2 cup boiling water
1 spoon soup powder
Crushed black pepper
Salt

Preparation:

1. Heat oil in a pan and add the Pasta Flakes, bounce several times to get them covered with oil. Add the water and the spices and boil; then lower the fire and cover leaving a little opening.

2. Cook for 5 minutes, take off the fire and leave covered for 5 minutes.

3. While preparing the Pasta Flakes, fry the onion till it turns yellow, add the puree, the spices, the sugar, the water and the vegetables and cook for 10 minutes; check taste.
