Microwave cauliflower recipe
I love these kinds of no-fuss recipes that 10 minutes in the microwave and the cauliflower is ready. I love easy recipes but sometimes I’m surprised by how easy they are. You put all the ingredients in a bowl, stick it in the microwave and come back 10 minutes later.
Could it be any easier? This is a perfect and easy side dish for lunch or supper. Bon appetit!
Makes 3 servings
Ingredients:
1 small cauliflower
1/2 cup water
1 onion
2 cloves of garlic
1 Tbsp sweet paprika
Pinch of turmeric
1/3 tsp crushed chili flakes
1 Tbsp chicken bouillon
Ground black pepper
Salt
Preparation:
1. Bring a pot of water to a boil. Cut the cauliflower into small florets and cook for 5 minutes, then drain.
2. Dice the onion. Heat 2 Tbsp of oil in a pan and add the onion. Sauté until golden. Transfer to a microwave-safe dish and add the other ingredients, including the cauliflower.
3. Cover with cling wrap and cook in the microwave for 10 minutes. Check that the cauliflower is tender.
Served with veggie fritters, broccoli fritters, Spanish paella, tomato soup and chicken fingers
Good to know…
You can make this the day before. You can skip the pre-cook step for the cauliflower, but I prefer not. Want to make it on the stove?
