Oven Roasted Sweet Potatoes

A delightful and effortless recipe that uses only a handful of simple ingredients that everyone usually has in their pantry.
I can’t get some recipes off my mind, and believe me when I tell you that there are a lot of recipes knocking around in there. This was love at first sight and bite for me.
The sweet potato is the star of the show here and it really shines here.


5 medium sweet potatoes
Olive oil
2 Tbsp honey / maple syrup
Ground black pepper


1. Preheat an oven to 220°C.

2. Scrub and thoroughly clean the sweet potatoes. There’s no need to peel them. Cut them in half lengthwise and arrange them on a baking tray with the cut side facing downward. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.

3. Drizzle with the honey or maple syrup and bake for 45 minutes.
