Pasta and Sauce that Kids Adore
I don’t know about you but I love easy recipes. Take pasta for example, which features regularly at my house for lunch in so many different shapes and forms, and I’m always looking for new ways to prepare it. So I found a way to make it that my kids loved. I added these tasty and tender chicken meatballs and served them on the pasta, and it was delicious! What a great lunch.
Makes 4 servings
300 grams pasta
2 Tbsp sweet chili sauce
1 cup of the pasta cooking water
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp tomato paste
1/2 tsp sugar
3/4 Tbsp sweet paprika
1/3 tsp crushed chili flakes
1 Tbsp chicken bouillon
Ground black pepper
Salt (if needed, to taste)
1. Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the package, drain, add two Tbsp of oil and stir. Set aside.
2. Heat a pan with 2 Tbsp of oil, beat the eggs and add to the pan, scrambling until the eggs are ready. Remove to a plate and chop finely and then return to the pan. Add the other ingredients, the spices, and water and cook 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3. Add the pasta to the sauce and mix for around a minute. Remove from the heat and set aside for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
