Pizza Sauce
After a lot of trial and error, this is the best pizza sauce I’ve made. A classic tomato sauce with basil that is super tasty and easy to make.
You can even eat it with a spoon, it’s so good. Double the recipe and freeze some, that way you’ll have a yummy sauce whenever you want to make pizza. Here’s a recipe for a fantastic pizza.
Ingredients:
4 medium ripe tomatoes
1 clove of garlic
1 Tbsp tomato paste
1 Tbsp ketchup
1 Tbsp chopped fresh basil
1/2 cup water
1 tsp sugar
1 Tbsp chicken bouillon
Ground black pepper
Salt
Preparation:
1. Bring a pot of water to the boil. Score the tops of the tomatoes and drop them in the boiling water and cook for around 3 minutes. Rinse, cool, and peel.
2. Pour 3 Tbsp of oil into a heated pan. Add the garlic and sauté for around a minute. Roughly chop the tomatoes and add to the garlic, sautéing for around two minutes.
3. Add the other ingredients and cook for around 7-8 minutes on low-medium heat. Taste and adjust seasoning.
4. Transfer to a blender or food processor and pulse until you get a smooth sauce. Taste and adjust seasoning.
Good to know…
You can use mushy tomatoes. Freezer-friendly. Enough for 4-5 pizzas.
