Potato Balls

Do you want to prepare something very-very tasty from potatoes? Something children would love? Some lovely nuggets? Covered in crunchy coating of breadcrumbs? Go ahead! The preparation is easy and the result is addictive.

14 balls


5 medium-size potatoes
1 egg
1/2 cup flour
4-5 spoons oil
1 cup Kashkaval/yellow cheese
Crushed black pepper


1. Peel the potatoes and grate them,  mix them with all the ingredients,

2. Roll balls to about the size of a ping-pong ball, cover them with breadcrumbs; flatten them down a little.

  1. 3. Heat oven to 180°C, cover pan with oiled baking paper.
  1. 4. Bake the balls for 25 minutes or until they become yellow, turn them upside down and bake for another 10-15 minutes or another possibility fry in half-deep oil; in that case you don’t need to flatten the balls.
