Pumpkin Schnitzel

There are lots of things we can make of Pumpkin, such as a side dish for chicken, fritters, etc. So, how about schnitzels? Yes, a schnitzel doesn’t have to be made of meat and it is easy to prepare and addictive. Some good vegetables, some cheeses and the pumpkin schnitzel make a very good supper.


700 gr. pumpkin
2 eggs
1 spoon honey
1/3 tsp. Cinnamon
1 tsp. Paprika
Diced black pepper



1. Slice the pumpkin into thin slices, poach them into boiled water for a short time until they soften, but do not become quite soft, filter.

2. Beat the eggs, add the spices and dip the pumpkin slices in eggs and then coat with breadcrumbs; fry on both sides until they become yellow.
