Quick Lentil soup

The most popular soup on the site is this lentil soup. It takes only 20 minutes to make and you get a wonderful hot and nutritious soup. A great recipe for a simple and satisfying soup that doesn’t require any fancy preparation. Once you make it, you’ll want to make it again and again.

Makes 3-4 servings

Ingredients:

3/4 cup red / orange lentils
2 small potatoes
2 carrots
7 cups of boiling water
3 Tbsp chopped parsley
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp turmeric
2 Tbsp chicken bouillon
Ground black pepper
Salt (if needed, to taste)

Preparation:

1. Pour the water into a pot and bring to a boil.

2. Peel the potatoes and the carrot and grate coarsely.

3. Add the lentils to the pot, add the grated vegetables and the seasoning, and cook for around 5 minutes.

*4. Lower the heat and partially cover. Cook for around 10 minutes. Add the parsley and cook for another 10 minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
