Soft Fluffy Bread

How would you like to bake some soft fluffy bread for the weekend? In fact, why not bake it for dinner?
This bread is amazing. Watch the video and see how fluffy it is. It’s the type of bread you can’t get enough of.
I’d like to share a secret with you. I made it without a rolling pin, I did everything by hand. Watch the video which clearly illustrates how to best work with the dough.
A mandatory recipe for every household. This bread is easy to make and the result is fantastic – fluffy and delicious. Nothing beats the aroma of freshly baked bread.

Makes 2 loaves

Ingredients:

500 grams flour (3.5 cups + 1 Tbsp)
11 grams dry yeast (1 Tbsp) or 25 grams fresh yeast
30 grams sugar (1 heaped Tbsp)
3/4 tsp salt
80 ml oil (1/3 cup)
300 ml warm water (1 + 1/4 cup)

Preparation:

1. Mix together the flour, yeast, and sugar. Add the salt and mix again. Add the other ingredients and process into a very sticky dough.

2. Leave the dough to rise in a greased bowl for around two hours. Using a wet knife, cut the dough in half. Place the dough onto a sheet of parchment paper. Using damp hands, flatten the dough into a large rectangle.

3. Let rise for 15 minutes. Score / cut the dough into large rectangles without separating the pieces (watch the video, which clearly illustrates everything). Let rise for another 15 minutes. Brush with egg wash, then repeat and brush with the egg wash again before sprinkling with sesame seeds.

4. Preheat an oven to 180°C and bake the dough for around 20 minutes until it’s nice and golden.

Good to know…
The dough is very sticky and you won’t be able to roll it out with a rolling pin. Your hands need to be damp, otherwise the dough will stick to them. Freezer-friendly.
