Strawberry jelly desserts
This is one of the easiest and prettiest desserts I’ve ever made. A simple and tasty individual dessert that you can even make with the kids, it’s that easy. Plus, I’ve never met a kid that didn’t like jelly with strawberries.
I strongly recommend keeping this jelly on hand. It’s great for surprise guests when you want to serve something yummy that looks impressive, but you don’t have a lot of time to prepare. It’s also dairy-free.
Makes 5 cups
Ingredients:
500 grams strawberries (20)
80 grams instant strawberry jelly
Preparation:
1. Cut the strawberries into small pieces and fill the cups to the top.
2. Mix the jelly with 400 ml boiling water (according to the directions on the package) and whisk / mix until all the jelly powder has dissolved and there are no more lumps.
3. Transfer the liquid jelly to a jug and fill all the cups. Refrigerate for around an hour.
Variations:
Whip cream with one Tbsp of instant vanilla pudding mix and one Tbsp of powdered sugar and pipe over the jelly cups.
Grate 50 grams of white chocolate and sprinkle over the jelly.
Whip cream with 2 Tbsp of soft white cheese, 1 heaped Tbsp of instant vanilla pudding mix and 3 Tbsp of sugar. Fill the cups halfway, freeze for two hours and add the strawberries with the jelly on top.
Good to know…
You can leave out the strawberries. You can make it several days in advance and keep refrigerated. I know this jelly comes in larger, more cost-effective packages but it’s not as good as the jelly in the smaller packages.
