


Stuffed Cabbage with Rice and Vegetables
On the site you can find cabbage stuffed with meat, but this time I preferred vegetables, and I used a lot and even added them to the sauce to make it more delicious. Who needs meat?
Ingredients:
1 big cabbage
1 onion cut into cubes
1 cup rice
1 1/2 cup water
1/2 small sweet potato
1 carrot
Diced black pepper
Salt
Sauce:
1 chopped onion
3 tomatoes
1/2 a small sweet potato
2-3 cups water
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. Paprika
1/4 tsp. Cinnamon
Diced black pepper
Salt
Preparation:
1. Freeze the cabbage for 24 hours and defreeze it.
- 2. Fry the onion, add grated vegetables, water and rice and spices, cook for 9 minutes covered on low fire after having brought to boil. Take off the fire.
- 3. Separate cabbage into leaves, fill out with the filling and wrap the filling in the leaf. Put into the fridge.
- 4. Fry the onion, add tomatoes cut into small cubes, add grated vegetables, sugar, spices, bring to boil, lower the fire and cook some more and add the stuffed cabbage with the opening downwards.
- 5. Cook 30-40 minutes on medium fire.
Tip: Good relations with the greengrocer are necessary so that he would keep you a nice cabbage for filling.
