Tahini brownies
What’s my favorite type of cake? Yeast cakes, of course, and second place is shared by brownies and apple cakes. Why brownies?
This cake freezes really well, so if guests stop by unexpectedly, you have something sweet and tasty to serve them. I like the fudginess and the intense chocolate flavor. These tahini brownies are so delicious with their moist rich chocolaty flavor and hints of halva.
Medium sized 24 cm x 24 cm baking pan
Ingredients:
200 grams bittersweet chocolate
120 ml oil (1/2 cup)
200 grams sugar (1 cup)
3 large eggs
1/3 cup raw tahini
1/3 cup silan or honey
1/3 cup crushed walnuts
70 grams flour (1/2 a cup)
Preparation:
1. Preheat an oven to 180°C.
2. Break up the chocolate into squares and put in a microwave safe bowl together with the oil. Microwave on high until the chocolate is melted.
Remove from the microwave and mix until combined.
3. Add the sugar and mix, then add the eggs, one at a time, while mixing vigorously. Add the tahini, silan, and finally the nuts and flour.
4. Grease a pan or line with parchment paper, pour the chocolate batter in an even layer.
*5. Bake in the oven for around 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out with moist crumbs. It’s important to take them out in time, before they dry out.
