Tahini Sauce Recipe
Can you write a recipe for tahini? After all, everyone likes their tahini different. There’s no precise recipe for tahini, everyone just improvises and customizes it to their liking.
This is the tahini that I like. It’s not very thick or lemony, with hints of paprika. It’s perfect in my opinion. Just the right combination of flavors and consistency.
Preparation time:
10 minutes
Ingredients:
3/4 cup raw tahini
3/4 cup water
1 heaped tsp crushed garlic
Juice from half a lemon
Parsley
Ground black pepper
1/2 tsp salt
Pinch of paprika
Preparation:
1. One of the easiest ways to make tahini is to put the raw tahini in a food processor and add the water slowly until you get the desired consistency. If you like it thick, add more raw tahini. If you like it thin, add some more water. In other words, play around with it.
2. Transfer the tahini to a bowl and add 3-4 Tbsp of chopped parsley, minced garlic, lemon, salt and pepper.
*3. Sprinkle a bit of paprika and some chopped parsley on top, and serve, preferably with pita and salad.
4. Don’t have a food processor? Mix the tahini and water in a bowl until you get your desired consistency, then add the other ingredients, and serve as suggested above.
