Wings in bbq sauce

My kids adore this sauce and ask for it all the time. It’s amazing with any baked or barbecued chicken.
It only takes a minute to make the sauce and season the chicken, and the chicken comes out finger lickin’ good. Trust me and follow the recipe to a tee, even if you aren’t crazy about one of the ingredients.
Give it a chance. When it’s all mixed together it’s incredible.
It’ll definitely becomes one of your go-to recipes.

Makes 3 servings


1 kg chicken wings, halved

For the BBQ sauce:
2 heaped Tbsp ketchup
2 Tbsp sweet chili sauce
2 tsp balsamic vinegar
2 Tbsp soy sauce
Just under 2 tsp mustard
2 heaped Tbsp honey/maple


1. Mix the sauce ingredients together. Season the wings and marinate for around an hour and a half.

2. Preheat an oven to 190°C and bake the wings for around 45 minutes.

Served with basmati rice, tahini, vegetables and pita breads.
