Perfect White Cheese Sandwich
Many people, especially moms, look for sanwiches to send their kids with to school.
I thought to myself: if I were making a perfect white cheese sandwich, what would I put inside it?
First of all, I’ll use good bread. I like using the Shabbat challah — it’s soft and a little sweet. I’ll also use basic white cheese 5%, Aviv really likes it. From here you can start adding more stuff, like:
Fresh vegetables and more types of cheese that you like.
Wrap it nicely, add a small note from mom and there you go! you have a wonderful meal for school.
I insist on not adding salt — there will be an explanation later on.
2 Sandwiches
Preparation:
1.) Spread a thin layer of white cheese on top of the bread piece. Then, add a slice of cheese and place some tomato and cucumber pieces on top.
2.) Add another piece of bread and wrap it nicely.
Why didn’t I add any salt?
Salt makes vegetables and especially tomatoes release liquids, which makes the tomatoes less
refreshing and it makes the bread wet. Kids ususally don’t like it that way and Aviv doesn’t have a
problem eating without salt.
