Beef and Potatoes in the Oven
You just have to make this stew — the result is perfect. The meat is super soft and flaky. I also added some potatoes and the sauce upgrades the stew to a whole new level. I couldn’t stop tasting it 🙂
Now you’ll probably say that it’s hard to make, but it really isn’t — it actually took me only 10 – 15
minutes to put everything in the pan and send it straight to the oven, I didn’t even need to fry anything.
That’s why this stew is so special — you don’t need to check up on anything, let the oven do its thing.
The wonderful smells of the stew waft around the house. I took it out of the oven right when my little solider came back from the military and we both devoured the stew together. We ate it all because of how tasty it is.
3 – 4 Servings
Ingredients:
1 kilo beef roast (size 4 – 5 – 6) cut into medium cubes
4 onions, diced
4 red peppers, diced
1 green chili pepper, diced
4 – 5 potatoes, diced
7 – 8 garlic cloves
1 heaping tablespoon of tomato paste
2 cups hot water
4 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon sugar
Spices:
1 tablespoon Moroccan sweet paprika
1/2 teaspoon hot paprika
1 teaspoon turmeric
1/2 teaspoon chicken grill
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon of soup powder
1 teaspoon black pepper (to taste)
Preparation:
1.) Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
2.) Place the vegetables in the pan. Place the meat cubes on top and add some olive oil.
3.) Mix water, tomato paste, sugar and spices. Pour the mixture on top of the meat and vegetables and cover with foil.
4.) Bake for about 4 hours and check at the end that the meat is soft.
