Spaghetti and Meatballs Recipe
Spaghetti with meatballs is the perfect dish for lunch — it’s so popular in our house.
Aviv really likes meatballs and I make them bite-sized, they disappear so quickly 🙂
No one has enough free time and everyone wants to make quick and easy dishes.
I keep some meatballs in the freezer, and all that’s left for me to do is to make the sauce and add the meatballs. In the meantime I make the pasta, which significantly reduces the preparation time.
If you need a wonderful meal for lunch, this recipe is perfect for you.
3 Servings
Ingredients:
250 g ground beef (ribs)
250 g ground chicken meat
Medium potato, coarsely grated / carrot
Small onion, grated
Half a teaspoon of baking soda
2 tablespoons of olive oil
Seasonings for meatballs:
Half a teaspoon of sweet Moroccan paprika
Half a teaspoon of turmeric
A heaped teaspoon of a. Soup
Half a teaspoon of black pepper
Half a teaspoon of salt
Sauce:
Medium onion, finely chopped
2 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced
2 – 3 cups of water
A heaped tablespoon of tomato paste
A tablespoon of sweet chili sauce
A teaspoon of sugar
Seasonings:
A flat tablespoon of sweet paprika
Half a teaspoon of turmeric
3/4 tablespoon of a. Soup
Half a teaspoon of black pepper
Half a teaspoon of salt
200 g spaghetti / any pasta you like
Preparation:
1.) Mix all of the meatballs ingredients, make balls the size of a ping-pong ball and flatten a little. Cool for 30 minutes in the fridge.
2.) Making the sauce:
Preheat a wide pan on medium heat with 3 tablespoons of oil. Now, start frying the onion until it turns lightly golden. Add the garlic cloves and keep frying for another minute. Add the rest of the ingredients, mix, cover and cook for about 10 – 15 minutes.
3.) Preheat another pan on medium heat with 3 – 4 tablespoons of oil. Fry the balls until they turn lightly golden and transfer them to the warm sauce. Cook for about 15 minutes and gently shake the pan sometimes.
4.) Make the spaghetti using the instructions that are located on its package and serve with the
meatballs. Sprinkle some chopped parsley.
