Homemade Onion and Mushroom Soup Recipe

I’ve wanted to upload soup recipes to the site for such a long time and have been waiting for winter or signs of rain. So this winter, there will be a greater selection of soups on the site! This time it’s onion soup with mushrooms. Just imagine the flavor when you add croutons and grated cheese. Heaven….

Makes 4 servings

Ingredients:

4 onions
4 garlic cloves
4 – 5 tablespoons oil
2 tablespoons flour
10 champignon mushrooms
1 and a quarter liters of water
1 tablespoon onion soup mix
2 tablespoons broth
Ground black pepper
Salt (not sure if necessary)

Preparation:

1. Heat a pot with oil, cut the onions in half, slice thinly, fry over medium-low heat for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally until the onions are golden brown, slice the garlic and add to the onions for another two minutes of frying, add another tablespoon of oil and the flour, stir until all the flour is dissolved.

2. Slice the mushrooms into thin slices, if the mushrooms are large, cut in half, then slice, add to the onions, stir for about a minute, and add the water and spices. Cover, bring to a boil, reduce heat and cook the soup for about 40 minutes.
