Honey Cake – Quick & Easy!

Rosh Hashanah is coming and once again, people talk about honey cakes. This time, I’m talking about one of the easiest honey cakes ever. There’s no need to use the mixer, the whole cake is made of manual mixing. Plus, this cake is dairy-free and made out of ingredients everyone has at home.
You only need 1 egg to make this wonderful cake, can you believe it?
Everything’s made in a single bowl, no more than that. It only took me 5 minutes to make and then it went in the oven — could this get any better?
I really like the type of cakes that you don’t need to work hard for and still get a great result.
An amazing and soft honey cake, it reminds me of those old honey cakes that the grandmothers were making back then.

Ingredients:

Egg (one)
100 g sugar (half a cup)
60 ml oil (quarter cup)
240 ml ready-to-drink black coffee (a cup)
Half a cup of honey
A pinch of salt
Half a teaspoon of baking soda
A teaspoon of cinnamon
140 flour (a cup of flour)
A teaspoon of baking powder

Preparation:

1.) Preheat the oven to 170 degrees.

2.) Whisk eggs and sugar for a couple seconds, add the oil, whisk for a couple seconds, add honey and keep whisking. Now, add the black coffee, salt and cinnamon. Whisk for a couple seconds and add the baking soda, flour and baking powder. Mix until a smooth mixture.

3.) Grease a pan, fill it with the mixture and bake for about 45 minutes.
