No-Bake Peanut Butter Balls (Dairy-Free/Parve)

If there’s one thing we love at home, it’s a dessert that requires zero baking, very little mess,
and delivers endless joy!

Meet my Peanut Butter and Biscuit Balls: a dessert that is basically the perfect excuse to play with your food without anyone getting mad at you. Warning: the moment you start mixing the warm peanut butter spread with the crushed biscuits, the house fills with such a good smell that you won’t be able to stop tasting.

This recipe is so simple that even if you bring your kids into the kitchen, it will turn out perfect.
Make these balls and coat them with whatever you’d like (coconut, sprinkles, or chocolate…).

20 Balls (30 grams)

Ingredients:

250 g crushed biscuits
2 heaping tablespoons peanut butter
80 g sugar (4 tablespoons)
4 tablespoons maple syrup
80 ml milk (1/3 cup) / Ritz / soy milk / plant-based cream

Toppings:
Coconut
Cocoa powder
Colored candies

Preparation:

1.) Transfer the biscuits to a bowl. Heat the peanut butter spread in the microwave for about 30
seconds on full power, and immediately pour it over the biscuits.

2.) In a small pot, boil the milk with the sugar until the sugar is completely dissolved. Turn the heat off and add the biscuits and the maple syrup.

3.) Mix thoroughly until a smooth mixture.

4.) Damp your hands and form ball-shapes. Coat them with anything you’d like and keep them in the fridge until serving.

Tips:

  • *Biscuit Texture: Instead of grinding the biscuits into a fine powder, crush them into very small, but still chunky pieces (like coarse breadcrumbs). This will maintain a fun, crunchy texture in the peanut butter balls.
  • *Peanut Butter Temperature: It’s very important that the peanut butter is hot and liquid enough (after microwaving), as it is meant to help “glue” the biscuit crumbs together.
  • *Working with Damp Hands: The tip about rolling with damp (or lightly oiled) hands is crucial. The moisture prevents the mixture from sticking to your hands, allowing you to create smooth and prettier ball-shapes.
  • *For longer keeping: You can easily freeze these balls! If you’re making a large amount, just store them in an airtight container.
Note: It’s best to avoid freezing any balls that are coated with colorful sprinkles. However, balls with coconut or chocolate coatings will freeze wonderfully.

*Chocolate Base: To make darker peanut butter balls, replace some of the biscuits with
    chocolate-flavor ones.
