Basic Sweet Buns Recipe

Homemade simple buns that are incredibly delicious. Plus, they’re beautiful, soft and golden.
This recipe upgrades every meal for me. I serve them to the table along with salads and dips — it’s a wonderful combination.
You can make these buns in advance and freeze. This way, you’ll always have delicious buns available that you can eat.
Heat it for a short time in the microwave and it’ll feel like they just came out of the oven.
Another tip — they’re perfect for sandwiches for school or for dinner. I recommend doubling the amount, they disappear in no time!

10 Buns

Ingredients:

500 g flour (3 cups + extra tablespoon)
11 g dry yeast (tablespoon)
2 level teaspoons salt
80 g sugar (4 tablespoons)

240 ml warm water (cup)
60 ml oil (quarter cup)
Yolk (yellow)
Whole egg

Whipped egg for brushing
Sesame seeds

Preparation:

1.) Place the flour, yeasts and sugar in the mixer bowl and lightly mix. Add the rest of the ingredients, and using the dough hook, process them into a smooth dough.

2.) Reduce in volume and divide the dough into 10 parts. From here, you can start making any shape you want.

3.) Proof for about 20 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 180 degrees, brush over the buns with a whisked egg and sprinkle sesame on top.

4.) Bake for about 25 minutes.
