Easy One-Pan Chicken and Potatoes for Kids

This Easy One-Pan Chicken and Potatoes recipe delivers maximum flavor with minimal effort. The chicken and potatoes cook together and create a savory meal. The potatoes soak up the delicious
seasoning and juices from the chicken. This gives them a tender texture and a great golden crust. Simple preparation and a single pan make this a highly efficient and tasty dinner choice for the whole family.

3 – 4 Servings

Ingredients:

3 separated thighs / 1 kilo of halved wings
5 potatoes
2 tablespoons ketchup
2 tablespoons of cilantro
4 tablespoons of oil
1 tablespoon of soy sauce

Seasonings:
1 tablespoon of soup powder
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
1/2 teaspoon of salt

Preparation:

  1. 1.) Preheat the oven to 190°C/374°F.
  2. 2.) Boil a pot with water. Cut the potatoes into cubes or wedges (whichever you prefer!), cook them in the boiling water for 5 – 6 minutes only, and then drain them thoroughly. This is the winning tip for perfect tenderness.
  3. 3.) Season the chicken well from all directions. Place the chicken in a large pan in a single layer (so that it browns nicely on all sides). Use what’s left from the seasoning to season the potatoes gently, and then add them to the pan, all around the chicken.
  4. 4.) Bake for about one hour. Before taking it out, ensure that the potatoes are completely soft. Enjoy a perfect Friday dinner!
