Homemade Meatballs for Kids
Perfect meatballs for kids — they’re soft, flaky and tender. I have been making this recipe for many years and now my kids eat it. It has a nice combination of tomatoes and onions which delivers great flavor. How are these meatballs so good? I’ll tell you the secret — I make the ball shapes in advance and keep it in the fridge. All of the flavors blend together, I cook the sauce for 25 minutes and I have a wonderful meatballs pot for lunch.
I serve it with white rice that will absorb all of the flavors or just with pasta.
This is one of the best dishes I’ve ever made — soft and delicious meatballs. I take one, put it in a piece of bread with the sauce and take a bite — truly an incredible recipe.

A large onion, finely chopped / halved and sliced into thin strips
A thinly sliced hot pepper (optional)
2 small chopped tomatoes
2 cloves of chopped garlic
A tablespoon of tomato paste
2 cups of water
Three-quarters of a tablespoon of Moroccan paprika
A tablespoon of chicken grill
A tablespoon of cilantro / honey
3/4 tablespoon of a. Soup powder
Half a teaspoon of ground black pepper
Half a teaspoon of salt
Preparation:
1.) Fry the onion until it turns lightly golden, turn the heat off and transfer to a bowl. Add the ground meat, grated potato, egg, breadcrumbs, baking soda and finish with the spices. Mix until a smooth
mixture, oil your hands up and make small balls that weigh 30 grams each. Keep them in the fridge for now.
Making the sauce:
2.) Cut the onion into small cubes and fry until it turns golden. Add the garlic along with the spicy
pepper and fry for another minute on medium heat. Add the tomatoes, tomato paste, date honey, spices and water. Cook for 10 minutes on low-medium heat.
3.) Add the balls to the sauce and cook for 20 – 25 minutes on a little more than low heat. Keep the pot covered. Gently shake the pot sometimes so the balls will cook equally on all sides.
