Yeast-Free Pizza Pinwheels
Is anyone not familiar with these small and tasty spirals? I usually make them from yeast dough but not this time. I made them using a yeast-free dough and I also added soft white cheese.
Golden crispy spirals that taste of tomato sauce with yellow cheese. Place a large plate in the middle of the table with a nice mound of these spirals. They’ll all be gone in 5 minutes. A simple and tasty recipe that is a great accompaniment to any meal.
Makes 40 spirals
Ingredients:
200 g butter, cut into cubes
200 g white cheese / sour cream / cottage cheese
350 g flour (two and a half cups)
A teaspoon of salt
Olives
Cherry tomatoes
Red onion
Yellow cheese
Whipped egg
Preparation:
1. Take the butter out of the refrigerator 15-20 minutes in advance, put the butter cubes, cheese, salt and flour in a mixer, process into a cold and slightly sticky dough, chill for about 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
2. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
3. Divide the dough into 4 parts, roll each piece into a rectangle, spread ketchup/tomato sauce, sprinkle with toppings and yellow cheese and roll into a roll, if there is time, freeze for 30 minutes. Cut into slices 3-4 cm thick, and arrange in a pan on baking paper.
4. Brush with beaten egg and bake for about 20-25 minutes.
