Easy Moist Honey Cake
A simple and delicious honey cake.
The flavor is great, you just can’t resist eating this wonderful cake — it’s one of the cakes I make all the time because of how delicious it is. The result is absolutely amazing too!
The flavors of this cake will only get better if you make it in advance. They blend with each other and the texture turns moistier and juicier.
That’s why many people gift this cake as a present in Rosh Hashanah.
English cake pan
Ingredients:
3 M eggs
150 g sugar (3/4 cup)
180 g honey / silane / maple syrup (half a cup)
180 ml orange juice / strong tea (3/4 cup)
120 ml oil (half a cup)
Vanilla extract
280 g flour (2 cups)
2 teaspoons baking powder
A teaspoon cinnamon
A pinch of salt
In addition:
Half a teaspoon cinnamon
A teaspoon brown sugar
Preparation:
1.) Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and grease a pan.
2.) In the mixer bowl, whisk the eggs for a couple seconds, add the sugar and whisk for another minute. Add the wet ingredients, whisk on low speed for a couple seconds and add the dry ingredients.
3.) Keep whisking at low speed until a smooth mixture.
4.) Transfer half of the mixture to the pan, mix sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle some on top and add the rest of the mixture. Mix a little.
5.) Bake for about 45 – 50 minutes.
