Chicken Schnitzel With Pasta
This recipe is one of Aviv’s favorites. If you ask him what he prefers to eat — he’ll always, and I mean always, say schnitzels with pasta. The schnitzels are crispy and crunchy, and the kids absolutely love eating them. Aviv can smell the delicious aroma of the meal even from the stairwell:
“Mom, you’re making schnitzels with pasta, right?” The marinade of the pasta gives a great taste to the schnitzels. I serve it to the table and let the kids enjoy it:)
I really love making simple and delicious meals, it makes my life much easier. Making this meal is just so easy. I always have schnitzels in the freezer and the pasta only takes a few minutes to make.
Bon appetit!
3 Servings
Ingredients:
500 g chicken breast cut into medium pieces
250 – 300 g spaghetti
2 eggs
1 tablespoon sweet chili sauce
1 tablespoon mustard
1 tablespoon Moroccan paprika
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1 tablespoon broth
Bread crumbs
Ingredients for pasta:
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 tablespoon Moroccan paprika
1 tablespoon brown sugar / 1 tablespoon cilantro
3/4 cup water
1/2 teaspoon pepper
3/4 tablespoon broth
Preparation:
1. Prepare the pasta according to the instructions on the bag.
2. Meanwhile, while the pasta is cooking, in a deep plate, whisk eggs, chili sauce, mustard and spices, prepare another deep plate with breadcrumbs.
3. Heat a frying pan with enough oil to cover the bottom. Dip the schnitzels in the egg mixture. Shake off any excess and coat with breadcrumbs. Fry the schnitzels over medium heat until nicely golden on both sides and remove to paper towels.
3. Prepare the sauce:
Heat a frying pan with 2 tablespoons of oil. Add the paste, cilantro, spices and water. Bring to a boil. Cook for about a minute. Add the pasta. Cook for about two minutes. Stir occasionally so that the pasta absorbs the sauce.
4. Transfer to a serving plate. Sprinkle the remaining sauce and the schnitzels over the top.
