Easy Apple Strudel Recipe

This apple strudel is so easy to make, all thanks to a small trick that works wonderfully.
I made it using an object everyone has at home. Just look at the pictures, I explained how I made it and it turned out wonderful!

Ingredients:

300 g flour (2.5 cups)
Half a teaspoon of dry yeast / a third of a sachet of fresh yeast
60 ml oil (quarter cup)
160 ml warm water (3/4 cup)
A flat spoon of sugar
Half a spoon of salt
A beaten egg

Apple filling:
3 large apples
25 g butter
A tablespoon of lemon juice
60 g sugar (3 tablespoons)
Half a teaspoon of cinnamon
2 tablespoons of water
Half a teaspoon of cornflour
50 g chopped walnuts (half a cup)

Preparation:

1.) Place the flour, yeasts, sugar, salt and the rest of the ingredients in the mixer. Turn on the mixer on low speed and knead for a couple minutes until a smooth and soft dough. Proof for about an hour and a half or until the dough doubles its volume.

2.) Peel of the skin of the apples, grate them and squeeze well. Add lemon juice to the apples, mix and place them in a pan along with the sugar and butter. cook for a couple minutes while mixing. Mix 3
tablespoons of water with cornflour until the cornflour melts. Add it to the apples and cook for a couple minutes. The apples should be soft and turn the heat off.

3.) Add the nuts along with the cinnamon and cool it down.

4.) Cut the dough in half and flatten both parts on a baking paper to a rectangle the size of 25×20. Place one rectangle on the oven rack, press down into the gaps, and create trails.

5.) Using a spoon or a piping bag, fill the trails with the filling, brush an egg over the sides of the dough and in between the trails. Place the second rectangle of the dough on top of the first one and tighten. Now brush over with an egg.

6.) Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Meanwhile, proof for 10 minutes. Now, bake for about 25 minutes until it turns golden, flip, quickly brush over with an egg and bake for 15 minutes.

7.) Cut into stripes — it looks wonderful!
