Quick and Easy Lentil Soup
The most popular soup on the site is this lentil soup. It takes only 20 minutes to make and you get a wonderful hot and nutritious soup. A great recipe for a simple and satisfying soup that doesn’t require any fancy preparation. Once you make it, you’ll want to make it again and again.
Makes 3-4 servings
Ingredients:
* 3/4 cup red or orange lentils
– 2 small potatoes
– 2 carrots
– 7 cups boiling water
– 3 tablespoons chopped parsley
– 1/2 teaspoon paprika
– 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
– 2 tablespoons bouillon powder
– Ground black pepper
– Salt (as needed)
Preparation:
1. Pour the water into a pot and bring it to a boil.
2. Peel the potatoes and carrots, then grate them using the large holes of a grater.
3. Add the lentils, grated vegetables, and seasonings to the pot. Boil for 5 minutes.
4. Slightly reduce the heat, partially cover, and simmer for 10 minutes. Add the parsley and simmer for another 10 minutes. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.
