Honey Fatout
How is it that some of the easiest recipes, like this one, make the tastiest food?
This requires almost no effort and yet it’s finger licking good. Take my advice and double the amount, these are just so good.
The sweet hints of honey make this a real treat. Both kids and adults absolutely love this recipe.
If you want something tasty (and inexpensive) for Rosh Hashanah, make this honey fatout.
You can also leave out the milk if you want to make them dairy-free.
2 Servings
Ingredients:
2 pita breads
1 large egg
3 Tbsp milk
1 heaped Tbsp honey
Preparation:
1. Cut the pita breads into small cubes. Place 4 Tbsp of oil in a hot pan, add the half the pita cubes and fry them while stirring, until golden. Remove from the pan and repeat with the other half.
2. Beat the egg and milk and add to the pan with a bit of oil. Stir until the egg is cooked. Remove from the heat, add the honey, stir, and serve.
