The Best Orange-Colored Basmati Rice

Let me tell you, this is the best rice I’ve made yet. There’s something magical about the combination of the basmati rice and the seasoning! The flavors are incredible.
I make a lot of rice at home and this is the best recipe yet. Thanks to this recipe my entire extended family only buys basmati rice now. After tasting this when I made it once, they simply can’t go back to making any other rice. Basmati is simply the best! Still skeptical? Try it and decide for yourself.

Ingredients:

2 cups basmati rice
4 cups water
1 onion
3 cloves of garlic
1 tsp sugar
1 Tbsp tomato paste
1/2 tsp rotisserie chicken spice
1 Tbsp chicken bouillon
Ground black pepper
Salt (if needed, to taste)

Preparation:

1. Finely dice the onion.

2. Heat a pot with 3 Tbsp of oil and sauté the onion for a few minutes until golden. Slice the garlic and add to the onion and keep sautéing. Enjoy the aroma! Add the rice and other ingredients and bring to a boil. Cover and lower the heat and cook for 30 minutes and leave covered for an additional 10 minutes.

3. Fluff with a fork and serve.

Good to know…
Persian / Jasmine rice needs 3 cups of water and cook for 18 minutes and leave covered for an additional 10 minutes.
